The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation that has culminated in the arrest of a dangerous and elusive criminal who is allegedly responsible for at least a dozen crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation committed in the public road of the towns of Alguazas and Las Torres de Cotillas.
The alleged authorship of the crimes of theft and misappropriation is also attributed to him.
The investigation was developed after the Civil Guard was aware of the commission of several robberies with violence that, since last August, maintained certain citizen insecurity in the localities of Alguazas and Las Torres de Cotillas.
The Benemérita ordered an extensive police operation aimed at locating and detaining the suspect, who was known to be a neighbor of Alguazas, known criminal, with a bulky criminal record for crimes, among others, of the same nature.
While the investigation was being carried out, other victims reported robberies of the same nature where the physical description of the subject coincided with that of the person sought, so the Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Local Police of Alguazas, Ceutí, Lorquí and Las Torres de Cotillas, had extensive police devices in the area in order to locate it.
At dawn today, day 6, the extensive operative arranged for its location and detention has been positive when the Civil Guard has surprised him after committing two more robberies with violence in Alguazas.
The arrested carried a knife that has been intervened.
It is an experienced offender who approached citizens on foot, mainly young people or minors, who threatened with a knife or knife to steal their belongings (money and mobile phones).
In some of the cases clarified addressed the users of vehicles when they stopped at a traffic light, with the same modus operandi: bullying with a knife.
