Next Tuesday, October 30, at 20:00 hours in the Plenary Hall of the City of Alguazas, an Institutional Act will be held to commemorate the purchase and independence of the Villa de Alguazas, which dates back to the year 1590. This initiative of the Department of Culture of the City of Alguazas will be attended by Mr. Luis Lisón Hernández, Official Chronicler of the Villa de Alguazas;

Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, Mayor-President of the Hon.

Alguazas Town Hall;

and Ms. Rosa Peñalver Pérez, President of the Regional Assembly of Murcia.

"We wanted to highlight this crucial historical event in the future of our municipality, making this Institutional Act which commemorates how on October 30, 1590 Alguazas residents became owners of their own Villa buying their own independence, something truly unusual and remarkable, "explains the first mayor alguaceño.

The act is public and open to all residents of the municipality.
