UxA denounces the municipality in the labor inspection "for breaking the law of prevention of occupational hazards" (02/01/2019)

The municipal group Unit X Alguazas has opted to report to the Provincial Labor Inspectorate of Murcia Alguazas City Council for serious breach of the law of prevention of occupational hazards on a continuous basis, in the face of the appalling conditions of equipment and uniformity in which they perform their duties. functions the employees of the Works and Services Brigade.

In the complaint, photographs have been provided showing a gardener trimming trees in a municipal park, climbing on a scaffold without guardrails, leaning on a curb and the employee using dangerous machinery, like a chainsaw, without a helmet, without glasses, without gloves and without boots.

"This is something we see every day, workers without adequate uniformity and without means to carry out their work, which creates a bad image of our municipality and a palpable pain to our employees" says the spokesman of UxA, José Gabriel García Bernabé.

We consider an unprecedented neglect with which our city council acts, which does not even offer training in prevention of occupational risks to its workers and, without going any further, in November an employee suffered an accident, falling from a scaffold for not having measures of security some.

"This complaint responds to the poor working conditions of the workers of the consistory, which compromise their health and integrity in case of accident, we are tired of seeing this every day, and we only want a serious institution that takes care of its employees and guarantees all the optimal security measures "concludes García Bernabé.
