The past municipal elections, held on May 26, gave as winner in Alguazas to the PSOE, which won 39.83% of the votes (1767) and 6 councilors, one more than the PP, which remains at 30.93 % (1372 votes).
Unit by Alguazas, which is the third force, has also achieved representation, with 18.44% (818 votes) and 2 representatives.
After the inauguration of the municipal corporation, which took place on Saturday June 15, the socialist mayor Blas Angel Ruipérez revalidated his mandate for four more years, when elected by a simple majority of the total number of councilors.
Yesterday, Ruipérez gathered his government team to discuss organizational aspects, including the delegated powers of each councilor, which are as follows:
BLAS ÁNGEL RUIPÉREZ PEÑALVER: Mayor.
VICTORIA CUELLO MEDINA (First Deputy Mayor): Education, Equality and Youth.
JUAN ANTONIO LÓPEZ RIBERA (Second Deputy Mayor): Culture and Heritage, Sports, Transparency and Good Government, Communication and Agenda 2030.
SOLEDAD BERMÚDEZ PASTOR: (Third Lieutenant of Mayor): Urbanism, Environment and Citizen Security.
CONSUELO ASÃS ARÁEZ (Fourth Deputy Mayor): Celebrations, Majors and Local Associations.
ANA GÓMEZ EGEA: Social Services, Personnel and Public Health.
