The City Council has developed for nine months a Mixed Employment and Training Program aimed at 15 young alguaceños enrolled in the Youth Guarantee program on “Auxiliary activities in nurseries and gardens†(20/09/2019)

The "Alguazas Emploa Verde II" program was closed on September 18 by the Mayor of Alguazas, Blas Ángel Ruipérez.

For nine months, 15 unemployed young people in Alguazas have alternated training with paid professional experience in setting up a greenhouse and maintaining gardens and green areas in the municipality.

The program has had a total cost of € 127,426.85 (of which € 1,159.55 is a municipal contribution) and has been subsidized by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia and co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Youth Employment Program at 91.89%.

In this way, the beneficiaries have obtained the Certificate of Professionalism called "Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden center", a certificate with a duration of 330 hours, and on the other hand they have acquired practice by performing auxiliary operations for the production and maintenance of plants in nurseries and garden centers, as well as for the installation and maintenance of gardens, parks and green areas.

Currently, another Mixed Employment and Training Program is being developed in the City of Alguazas until December, aimed at people between 25 and 54 years old, with an amount of € 181,781.34, also from the gardening branch, subsidized by the Service Regional Employment and Training, in which 15 working students are benefiting for 9 months.

So this year 2019, together with the Mixed Employment and Training Program for Seniors that ended in March, of the masonry branch, also subsidized by the SEF with an amount of € 233,798.20, where they also benefited 15 student-workers for 12 months, there are three programs that have been carried out in the municipality, giving work to 51 unemployed through three grants that have exceeded 543,000 euros.

According to statements by the Mayor, Blas Ángel Ruipérez, "from the session we will continue to bet on implementing the largest possible number of projects that favor employment growth in the locality."
