Four clandestine greenhouses and the necessary means for intensive cultivation of cannabis sativa have been dismantled
The records have seized more than a hundred marijuana plants and numerous material used for cultivation and handling
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'BALINESA' operation, has developed an investigation in Alguazas that has culminated with the dismantling of four clandestine greenhouses, installed in two disused livestock buildings, where 107 plants have been seized of cannabis sativa, more than 100 halogen bulbs, 89 electric transformers and other tools designed to favor intensive plant cultivation.
A 73-year-old male person of Spanish nationality and neighbor of Ceutí has ​​been arrested as the alleged author of the crimes of cultivation, processing and drug trafficking;
and of electric fluid fraud.
The investigation began last August, when the Civil Guard appreciated a certain increase in the number of complaints made in Alguazas, for the possession and consumption of marijuana in the town.
These indexes led to suspicion of the possible existence of a marijuana distribution or processing point in the area, so a series of police devices were established that were combined with other tasks aimed at obtaining information.
These inquiries were positive with the location of two cattle ships, in an apparent state of abandonment, that showed signs of housing a clandestine marijuana plantation.
Both properties had been fraudulently connected to the electricity grid, a method commonly used by criminals to carry out intensive and large-scale cultivation, without raising suspicion of excessive electricity consumption.
Recently, Civil Guard agents have inspected the buildings where four greenhouses have been found, manufactured in laminated drywall, equipped with more than 100 halogen bulbs of 600w each, 12 large-capacity air conditioners and an electrical installation with About 100 transformers, instruments that, at full capacity, could have favored the annual cultivation of more than 1,500 marijuana plants.
Of these four greenhouses, two of them were ready for imminent start-up, another was at medium capacity and the room was filled with 107 cannabis sativa plants.
The 'BALINESA' operation, carried out in the town of Alguazas, has culminated in the arrest of a 73-year-old male, of Spanish nationality and neighbor of Ceutí as the alleged author of the crimes of cultivation, processing and drug trafficking;
and of electric fluid fraud.
The arrested, the drug and the seized effects;
and the proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 2 of Molina de Segura (Murcia).
