By unanimous decision of its members, the Election Committee Alguazas People's Party, at a meeting held on the morning of Sunday, March 13, has designated its President and the then Mayor of the town, José Antonio Fernández Lladó to head the candidate that the "popular" submitted to the municipal elections May 22.
As stated in the existing statutory procedures of the Popular Party, agreement of the highest local authority lists and candidates for municipal elections will be submitted shortly for consideration by the Electoral Committee of the "popular" Murcia for their timely ratification, acceptance and proclamation , if applicable.
José Antonio Fernández Lladó, 44 Industrial Engineer and has held the position of Mayor in the last 3 Alguazas legislatures and, based on the expectation of what the Election Committee agreed the above local People's Party, the current mayor may choose , for the fourth time in his capacity as head of the electoral lineup, to validate the absolute majority it currently enjoys in the municipal councils PP (its initials represented by 7 of the 13 Councillors who make up the Whole Corporate).
Note that Alguazas People's Party, made to date by more than three hundred members, has held since 1993 general election the political force status in the population voted, having reaped the "popular" in the various local election calls an upward trajectory of public support that has been placed at the PP in the last elections, held at the Cortes Generales in 2008 and the European Parliament a year later, at a record high percentage of votes, that is, 64 , 59% of alguaceños who went to the polls.
