More than 200 children participating in the first children's stories contest Alguazas (11/05/2011)

The event is organized by the Department of Culture within the program of activities held to mark the celebration of World Book Day in the municipality.

The Department of Culture Alguazas City Council has scheduled several activities to commemorate the celebration of World Book Day.

These include the short story contest for children, which had a great success of participation, 225 children from schools Monte Anaor and Our Lady of Mount Caramel Alguazas.

The awards to 17 winners have been delivered in the House of Culture of the town's hand Alguazas mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora.

The ceremony was also attended by the Councillor for Social Services, Dori Bermudez.

After the awards ceremony was performed the play "The Witch giggles" starring 12 of the mothers of students at the school Our Lady of Mount Caramel and developed with a group of teachers of that school.

Attendees who filled the House of Culture had fun with this lively and dynamic representation.

All participants were in second and third year of primary school.

Participants were given as a starting point the beginning of the story that had to develop and produce a final.

Once the deadline for the work of children, proceeded to their collection.

The tender system established, and in any event, has allowed the total anonymity of the participants, and each school has had a jury that has called the story of another participating institution, that is, no teacher has assessed students at his school .

After selecting the winners, the Department of Culture has proceeded to open the session and, thus, meet the winners.

The lucky ones have been members of Our Lady of Mount Caramel: Charity Carrión, Gemma Corbalan, Andrea Piqueras, Benedicta Montero, Lidia Cortés, Almudena Martinez, Miriam Peñalver, Cristina Cánovas López Martínez and Victoria.

The winners of Monte Anaor school were: Alberto García, Elena Laencina, Paul Rivas, Marcelo Damián, Alejandro Illán, Francisco Marín, Cristina Lopez and Elena Iniguez.

In addition to a diploma all the winners got a memory stick and the ability to read their creations at the municipal radio station, Radio Alguazas divided into groups over several Fridays.
