A group of 15 students taking the course "Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers" for the unemployed, organized by the Department of Employment and Training Alguazas City Council through the Local Development Agency Alguazas.
Those attending the training will learn the different processes, techniques and tools essential to become a gardener.
With theoretical and practical classes, students will learn about the implementation and maintenance of gardens, parks and green areas as well as production and maintenance of plants in nurseries and garden centers, meeting the prevention of occupational risks, quality and environmental protection.
The course, which will run from February 15 to June 15, will allow attendees who have completed the taught modules, obtain a professional certificate level 1 to be credited as an agricultural laborer, garden laborer, nursery or pawn pawn garden center.
This certification will facilitate academic work in business and public services of parks, gardens and green areas.
Internships will be made non-work in gardens and parks of the town, providing an opportunity for students to meet the various flora and design of each.
The workshop, to be held in the municipal nursery is funded by the Department of Employment and Training and funded by the European Social Fund.
