The City Council approves the plan Alguazas adjustment to pay providers a total of 1,330 bills (02/04/2012)

Alguazas unit approved by the Adjustment Plan presented to help SMEs and freelancers to gain liquidity, but complains that this is a mortgage for the future and is due to shoddy work of the Popular Party.

Alguazas City Council has submitted to the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration a total of 1,330 bills, amounting to 2,137,157.43 euros of debt to suppliers of procurement of works, supplies and services, pursuant to Royal Decree-Law 4/2012 of 24 February.

In total, 258 claims by providers contain the consistory alguaceño as of January 1, 2012.

In the full March 29, approved the Adjustment Plan for the rehabilitation of the signing of a debt operation amounting to EUR 2.235 million, to pay bills owed by the City of Alguazas.

Unity for Alguazas criticized the government team's economic mismanagement conducted, which has resulted in leaving more than a thousand unpaid bills and now they have to go through one transaction involving a mortgage debt for the future of the municipality .

The two council members showed their support for UXA Adjustment Plan, and gave a vote of confidence to ensure compliance, with the only requirement for providers to charge their bills due and win cash, payment of the shoddy work of PP and will raise taxes over the next ten years of the plan.

Including the new debt, the City of Alguazas a total of 4,968,245.28 euros of debt outstanding applicable to financial institutions, representing a debt level of 69%, a figure that shows clearly the wrong work PP.

UXA spokesman, Jose Gabriel Garcia Bernabe, said in the House that a municipality as Alguazas be in a situation where not paid to suppliers, which accumulate debts to banks, associations, suppliers and other administrations, which take more than two years to pay the bills and that as a result of this delay, endanger the continuity of many companies.

"The easiest thing is to blame the economic crisis, but the real culprit is the Popular Party is the ruler of this local authority, it is very easy to attribute all problems to the crisis, but it began in 2007 and has continued spending without address the situation "Garcia said Barnabas.

The independent panel assessed in different ways this adjustment plan approved by the City of Alguazas, with votes in favor of UXA PP and PSOE abstaining.

First, is a positive short-term, since it could sell to a situation of lack of liquidity of the companies providing services to the consistory.

We appreciate this positive effect to allow any bills of drawers, where they should not have ever entered.

But this Adjustment Plan also has dangers, and perverse incentives that can mean for the future.

"If this entity does not return the loan will ultimately be the taxpayers who have to pay, and that would be a serious problem for everyone," says spokesman UXA.

From Unity for Alguazas, giving a vote of confidence for the sole purpose of which are reorganized the accounts of all companies with liquidity problems for non-payment of the administration.

Likewise, we hope that this plan of a positive outcome and not a problem for our municipality.
