Press release Alguazas People's Party (18/05/2012)

In response to press article published earlier by the PSOE Alguazas on the Home Care Service from the government team Alguazas City Council and, more specifically, from the person of the Councillor for Social Services, which referred directly in it, we want to show some explanations.

It is regrettable to say the least opposition in our town that, in line with his party at the national and regional, not cease in its efforts to create social alarm trying to contaminate public opinion.

For this reason, it is of vital importance to the Councillor responsible for the field, Maria Dolores Hernandez Garcia, explain clearly enough, everything related to the recent redesign of the Service Home Care, which has shown its total interest are shown motivation of the procedures, the accuracy of the data and the purpose of the measures taken.

From a realistic, responsible and taking the citizen, the neighbor as the center and undisputed recipient of municipal management, the government team has not been raised at any time the removal of the home help service, unlike what has been done by other Local Authorities.

Despite having fewer economic resources to carry it out, despite the disappearance of public subsidy Alguazas City Council received from the competent authority to pay the gratuity of the Home Care Service, the Department of Social Services, concienciada in need for this provision continue to benefit its users, will go ahead with the basic care, priority and irreplaceable.

Shuffling figures of local input in this regard, we state that the municipal credit SAD for both ordinary and extraordinary in 2011 amounted to € 12,423, this year the service was improved economically with an additional contribution of € 2914.01 by the municipal coffers.

The data in 2012 do not suffer any variation in terms of economic contribution that the council makes the service as it is commitment to maintain the municipal contribution Consistory scheduled until year end.

It is therefore obvious that no such reduction of 75% in this sense, as alluded to in the report published by the opposition.

The 27 users of Home Care Service will continue to benefit Ordinary of it because it is a question which, besides demanding the highest sensitivity, it also requires the utmost dedication of municipal government, for we speak of a service that has enjoyed Alguazas many years of performance and is no less true that this is being done under the supervision and funding of the City Council.

Today we continue to fund most of this service by maintaining, as we said earlier, our commitment to the agreed budget for 2012, but faced negative circumstances of the moment we are forced to move to the users of the service cost to replace the loss of the subsidy the CARM cofinanciaba it, ensuring the same way the benefit and safety of care for beneficiaries, which will continue doing this the firm will of the government team.

As for the two beneficiaries of the Special SAD, have recognized a protectable dependence, so that will happen to be served by the SAAD (Service Care Unit).

Both have family support.

The measures of home help are the SAD on holidays and Telecare Household, the latter is still coasting municipally although the subsidy is gone.

Despite the difficulties caused by this economic crisis, a service like this home help is not going away in the town of Alguazas or pass into private hands, the latter fact would entail an economic cost to users would double the current.

This Council is committed to safeguard the welfare state and within their means, he is doing to seek solutions aimed at the continuity of this service.

We believe that it should be supervised by the City, as it is a system of direct aid to cover individual assistance to a sector of society that needs more security and safety than any other, and within a basic General Social Services.

For this government team is clear that while parties like the PSOE and Unity by Alguazas terms they want to disqualify unfit, demagogic or maintenance free as long as possible in the home help service in our town is a fact even if we have against scarcity of economic resources and reduced revenue by government than by reminding our unfair opposition from the City of Alguazas not going to evict anyone because the Consistory will continue to provide this service.

We all know that the Socialist Party of Alguazas lacks any capacity for coherent, without knowing how to adapt to the availability of resources, unable to provide an efficient and equitable provision of social services, and what is worse, without being at the height circumstances.

All this is very well demonstrated in the heritage deficit that the party left in their short term (March 2005 - June 2007) and, even today, the Popular Party, in power since then, still trying to trace.

Being in this sense, the PSOE Alguazas fully cognizant of the economic situation of the municipality and the great effort, day after day, the government team takes to manage responsibly and in favor of economic equilibrium is far from our understanding that measures are attacked while seeking to provide services, advocate not indebted to our town, they are our neighbors who suffer directly the consequences of our debt.

By the way, only add, anecdotally, that during this period he served as Councillor for Finance Mr. Blas Angel Ruipérez Peñalver, Secretary General of the PSOE in Alguazas and head of the list in past municipal elections.

In the article of the PSOE, free use terms such as eviction, lack of solidarity or insensitivity to the weak, all coated with a heavy dose of demagoguery, because as they say, "paper is patient" grave errors allowing the in reporting or intentionally wrong to our neighbors.

The lack of solidarity with the PSOE can qualify us, will not endanger our efforts in order to carry out initiatives that allow us to extend the maximum time, basic services such as home help service.
