The Cultural Association "Amigos de la Torre" Alguazas, founded in 1998 and takes its name from the emblematic medieval fortress tower of Bishop, held last June 16 educational trip to Villajoyosa, Alicante route program having as for this event to visit attractions such as La Barbera (XIX century manor house converted into a Visitors Center and Museum of Antiquities) and the Chocolate Factory "Value".
The culmination of this proposal developed by the dynamic cultural entity put alguaceña coexistence lunch at a restaurant in this historic coastal town of Marina Alicante, an event which fires this collective cultural activities this summer to take them back in the month September.
Note that the "Friends of the Tower" Alguazas, chaired by retired teacher and distinguished scholar of the local municipality Antonio Matencio, program throughout the year a large and varied repertoire of marked cultural initiatives aimed at primary to inform residents and visitors, with the development of conferences, literary events, concerts, exhibitions, tours, publications historiographic ... - meaning that for Alguazas and Region of Murcia is the Old Tower or Bishop, outstanding monument medieval, along with the parish church of San Onofre, the town boasts the condition clearly stated regional attractions.
