The Library "Rio Segura" highlights Luis Lisón as "Murciano the Month" (14/05/2013)

The extensive research trajectory taken by the official chronicler of the town of Lison Luis Alguazas towards rescuing and disclose past of our region has been recognized another opportunity and this time the initiative has come from the Public Library "Rio Segura" sita in the district of Carmen de la Ciudad de Murcia.

In his last newsletter bimonthly corresponding to March-April this year the council magazine editor of that cultural institution has been awarded the title of the Month Murciano home to renowned historian alguaceño thus valuing a life dedicated to study the most diverse aspects of regional history and to reflect on their pages as bibliographic references and criticisms.

In this regard, Luis Lison has authored more than thirty books.

He has also written more than four hundred items.

His main topics of study are the Ricote Valley History, Alguazas, La Alberca de las Torres and Sucina, hot springs in the Region of Murcia, heraldry and vexiología.

Among his many publications are highlighted: Sewer and Polo de Medina in the last years of the Manor (1976) Approach to the historical past of Abarán (1983), The October Revolution 34 in Murcia Alguazas case (1988); Hidalgos and large in Murcia silgo late XVI: an attempt to approximate the cavalry villain in his last days (1990) Family Genealogical Study Lison-Briones (1993) municipal Symbols Murcia (1999) and The thermal exploitation in Murcia (2003).

He has lectured extensively on the subjects mentioned in Abarán, La Alberca (Salamanca), La Alberca de las Torres, Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Alguazas, Alhama de Murcia, Cieza, Ciudad Real, Gea and Truyols, Madrid, Sucina and The Cotillas Towers.

For twelve years he belonged to the editor of the monthly magazine The Belt.

He has also collaborated and collaborates on various regional and local newspapers since 1967, such as Line, The Truth, the weekly Monday Leaf, La Opinion, 16 Journal of Murcia, La Voz de Alguazas, Saturday Graphic and digital weekly Vegamediapress.

Scholar of Heraldry

Retired primary school teacher, Luis Lisón attended the Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Murcia (1984).

He also completed doctoral courses.

Also has the Diploma in Genealogy, Heraldry and Nobility Law School of Genealogy, Heraldry and Nobility of Madrid (1992).

It is, therefore, a real authority in this field, having made more than twenty projects heraldic flags and municipal towns and districts of the Region of Murcia and Alicante.

Has projected municipal shields Albudeite, Alguazas, Blanca, Ceuta, Ojós, Pilar de la Horadada and Specification, as well as the districts of La Alberca de las Torres, Gea and Truyols, Maciascoque Guadalupe, Llano de Brujas, El Raal and Sucina .

On the other hand, has executed projects in the following locations flag: Abarán, Albudeite, Alguazas, Blanca, Bullas, Ceuta, Llano de Brujas, Ojos, El Pilar de la Horadada, Pliego, El Raal, Ricote, Sucina and Ulea.

In addition, on behalf of the Association of Official Reporters of the Region of Murcia drew up the draft Corporate Medal for it.

Official Chronicler of Alguazas and Ojós

The July 26, 2002 the Governing Board of the City of Alguazas agreed unanimously to grant the appointment of official chronicler of the town, on a proposal from the Official Reporters Association of the Region of Murcia.

In the plenary session on January 31, 2003 was agreed, with the vote in favor of the three political forces represented in the City of Alguazas, ratify the appointment.

On February 7, 2003, in the House of Culture of Alguazas, held the inauguration of Luis Lisón as official chronicler of the Villa.

The ceremony was chaired by José Antonio Fernández Lladó Mayor and attended by numerous chroniclers of the municipalities in Murcia.

Lison received the diploma of the mayor, while the medal was imposed by the then regional president Jose Antonio Melgares chroniclers Guerrero.

In 2004 he was appointed official chronicler of eyes.

Not surprisingly, it is one of the foremost experts on the history of the Ricote Valley.

Tributes and honorary positions

Has garnered awards of various kinds: the Medal of Merit in Collective Work, Gold in its category (1971) National Award "Luis Maria Sobredo" (1973), the Third Prize at the "Spain seen by their school" ( 1974), the Fourth Prize in the same contest, Diploma of Honor of the National Youth Delegation and Second Prize for Documentary about "Prince of Spain" (1975).

In 1978 he won the National Competition III Historical Research organized by the City of Montiel (Ciudad Real), who renewed the following year.

The Association "Saavedra Fajardo" La Alberca de las Torres was awarded the Golden Shield of the town (1977), the City of Gold Shield Alguazas the Villa, the Consistory of Abarán the Silver Plaque for his historical work and vexiológica related to the municipality, was distinguished as Huertano and alguaceño the Year (2001).

He has served on the board of the Spanish Society of Vexiología, and is its representative in the Region of Murcia.

Since 1990, Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy Alfonso X the Wise of Murcia.

Since 1975, directs the Center for Alberqueños of La Alberca de las Torres (Murcia), promoting the realization of numerous cultural activities and the publication of several papers on various subjects related to this village of Murcia.

Regarding Alguazas, undertook statement records of the Tower National Monument of Bishop and the Church of San Onofre.

Trumpeted the Festivities (1979) and Holy Week at the Villa (2005).
