On February 26 the Senior Center Alguazas made official the renewal of the board, in a ceremony attended by the mayor of the municipality, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and Councilwoman Aging, María Dolores Hernández.
Thus Diego Carrasco took over as president of the center, in a meeting at which he will be accompanied by Maria Dolores Robles (VP), Francisco Verdú (treasurer), Josefa Gonzalez and Juan Gallego (secretaries) and Mateo Izquierdo, LA García, María Antonia Dólera and Jiménez (vocals).
In this act known as Home of the Pensioner or Senior paid tribute to outgoing President Custodio Aguilera, who held the post for more than five years.
To round off the event, attendees could enjoy various artistic performances staged by the same partners from downtown.
"The Senior Center brings together a dynamic and participatory group in the lives of our people, whether in dates, such as the festivity or Christmas, or throughout the year organizing and enjoying various activities" explains Hernández, who wanted to "show its support for Diego Carrasco in this new work leading people over Alguazas, relying on their extensive work capacity".
