Course in Alguazas on dependent care in social institutions (10/03/2015)

It's free, has 450 teaching hours of which 80 shall not labor practices and at the end of their students granted the certificate of professionalism

Alguazas City Council is developing a free course "Social healthcare for dependent people in social institutions", with a total duration of 450 hours of which 80 hours are non-labor practices in senior centers the municipality or the environment.

The course, which awarded the certificate of professionalism in this field to its participants, will last until next July and all students are enrolled at Alguazas Local Development Agency, a body under the Department of Employment and Training.

The course is subsidized by the Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government and is primarily aimed at unemployed workers with minimal training ESO graduate or equivalent.

"Current legislation states that caregivers, gerocultores or similar professional categories must demonstrate the professional qualifications of social care for dependent people in social institutions, hence the importance of occupational certificate shall be issued to students in this course," explains Councillor for Employment and Training, Isabel Zamora.
