Nine alguaceñas, honorees in the traditional "Tribute to the Old Woman" (18/03/2015)

Alguazas Township held a year its traditional "Tribute to Women Mayor and his career" at a gala held on Saturday March 14 at the movie theater "IV Centenario" in the town.

In her nine alguaceñas were honorees at a ceremony which was chaired by the mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, CEO Elderly regional government, Enrique Pérez, and the Councillor for Social Services, Senior Citizens and Equality, María Dolores Hernández .

The honorees this year were Consuelo Lopez Serna, Antonia Hurtado Loba, Josefa Robles Sarabia, Carmen Sánchez Esteve, Josefa Lopez Bullón, Martí Agueda Lopez, Carmen Sánchez Almagro, Juana María Egea Dólera and Juana Sánchez Rodríguez.

This annual recognition gala, held since 1997, featured performances of the dancers Carmen Romero and Victor Campos, and singer Toni Blaya.

"This is a warm tribute to a lifetime of dedication, effort, and dedication example," Fernandez Lladó, which like every year was aided in delivering mentions Queen Party, a position he currently holds said Maria Sánchez.

A program that began with a trip to Córdoba in which 65 women alguaceñas on 27 and 28 February, and March 1 participated.

This exhibition, which was also visited by the mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, offers visitors a wealth of photographs and memorabilia from the various trips organized by the local council where the alguaceñas women have participated in the past 20 years.
