Alguazas City Council, through its Department of Parks and Gardens has recently carried out in the town park Slingshot various improvement works, most notably the replacement of part of its woodland.
"That was before there was inadequate species for public spaces such as year-round various nuisances caused by waste given off as resin and sheet," the councilor responsible for the area, Fernando Almagro.
"So the locals have been asking for a solution, because dirt that produced these trees hindered proper use of the park, which affected the soil and street furniture, even to spot the individual terraces," said the mayor.
Thus, these have been removed nuisance species and replaced by 15 mulberry, best suited for this type of trees clearances.
"This project has also led to other work, such as changing the system of drip irrigation and pruning other trees in the area," explains Almagro, who explains that this "is a sufficient distance to step down Gran Via to the area is well lit, allowing better growth of other plants. "
