The number of people benefiting from telecare (18/02/2010)

Since 1997, the Department of Social Services Alguazas City Council has offered to citizens of the municipality a Telecare service.

The number of service users by comparing the last quarter of 2009 to 2008 has been increased from 54 in 2008 to 62 in 2009.

The profile of most people who use this service are female (72.13%), aged 80 (47.54%), living alone (55.14%) and have some kind of difficulty personal autonomy (68.33%).

By contrast, there has been an increase in the monitoring of users has gone from 222 to 251.

This service is funded by the Institute for the Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO), the Autonomous Community and Local Consistory.
