PSOE: Alguazas The PP says no to "School 2.0" (01/06/2010)

The PSOE Alguazas presented for approval at regular plenary session a motion to request the Government of the Region that sumase, facing the school year 2010/2011, the second edition of "School 2.0."

Recall that the "School 2.0" is allowed during this school year, all students from Primary 5 and Secondary 2 (about 400,000 in Spain) have received an ultraportable computer, plus all your teachers (more 20,000), and classrooms have been completely digitized (14,400), is equipped with projector, whiteboard and wireless Internet.

The Government of Spain devoted to the school year 2009/2010 the amount of 3,905,017 euros to develop the program School 2.0 in the region of Murcia.

However, the regional PP government, chaired by Valcárcel, rejected this program, as did the communities of Madrid and Valencia (Aguirre y Camps claimed that computers were causing myopia Valcárcel and the Minister of Education Constantino Sotoca say no time to implement it).

The PP de Murcia condemned and students of the region to tailing in digital advances.

In addition, Murcia lost a valuable tool to reduce school failure (34.3%) and neglect of education (41%), above the national average.

Alternatively, the PP of Murcia has invented the "Aula XXI", which involves scanning only 40 classrooms in the region (only 1,000 students benefit from the region).

It will spend 1.8 million euros in a pilot program for two months (April-June 2010).

Apparently, two months it is time to put a program almost a replica of "School 2.0" and pay in full the Murcia.

The PP de Murcia prefer us to pay 1.8 million euros in order not to accept the funds allocated by the Government of Zapatero.

In order not to repeat this nonsense facing the school year 2010/2011, the PSOE Alguazas filed this motion to have the support of the PP in Alguazas, students from schools in Alguazas, as do all students in the region, prevent them from being discriminated against in education because of the partisan interests of the Government of the Region.

The motion was rejected by the PP, which does not want our children to have access to classrooms equipped with projector, whiteboard and wireless Internet, free of charge for our City.
