The local unit X Alguazas party has registered a motion to exempt residents affected by the DANA floods from paying the IBI.
It is also requested to create a Monitoring Commission for all aid.
The storm DANA as it passes through Alguazas has left sad episodes of desolation in many neighbors who have lost all their personal belongings when their homes are submerged underwater.
Also farmers who have seen lose their harvest.
As well as a multitude of damages and damages in public roads.
Undoubtedly, damage that will take time to repair.
The municipal group Unit X Alguazas has registered a motion for the next Plenary, which will be held on Tuesday, October 1, to exempt the payment of the Real Estate Tax (IBI), popularly known as "the contribution", to all affected neighbors by flooding in their homes or crops, especially the area of El Paraje.
This request is accompanied by the creation of a Special Commission to monitor all aid granted by any agency, in order to be able to serve all neighbors.
This motion is the third request that UxA makes in recent days as a result of the storm.
In the first one, it was requested to evaluate and quantify the damages produced throughout the municipality, as well as to provide advice and help to the affected neighbors for the procedures with the insurance companies and the possible future aid that may arise.
And in the second motion, it was requested to coordinate an urgent animal rescue device in El Paraje, which was rejected by the mayor "after contacting him immediately to carry it out."
"To alleviate this ordeal of many neighbors as soon as possible, from UxA we propose that all affected neighbors be exempted from paying the IBI, either in homes or on terraces with harvest, so that these neighbors have economic relief, more these months from September to December, in which this tax must be paid, "says spokesman José Gabriel García Bernabé.
He also adds that "it is very important that the three political groups remain united in this cause, to help our neighbors in the best possible way; we hope to have the support of PP and PSOE in our proposals."
