The approved text reads as follows:

The Region of Murcia has suffered since last September 12 the effects of a strong isolated depression in high levels of the atmosphere (DANA), which has caused numerous damages and havoc in almost all of it.

For the first time in our Community, a red-level warning was issued by the Spanish Meteorological Agency - of maximum alert - for adverse meteorological phenomena, unfortunately the forecasts made with a historical rainfall record have been fulfilled.

The intense torrential rain accompanied in many moments of strong winds and large electrical apparatus has had devastating consequences and must have been evicted from their homes, given a certain risk of flooding, hundreds of neighbors from many municipalities and districts.

The damages are countless in homes, road, rail infrastructure, industrial, commercial and service establishments, farms and livestock, in vehicles, in street furniture, etc.

and their amount is difficult to establish at the moment, given their enormity.

But in moments as critical as those we have experienced in these days, when our resilience is tested, is when the solidarity and strength of the men and women of our Region is clearly shown.

There have been multiple samples of support and help that those affected have had in very difficult and complicated situations and the Government Board of the City of Alguazas wants to make public its immense gratitude to all who have assisted them in this crisis: the forces and bodies State security (national police and civil guard), local police, armed forces, in particular the Emergency Military Unit, firefighters, emergency services, civil protection, Red Cross, health personnel, both hospitals and centers health, and the unstoppable disposition of thousands of volunteers who have turned to those affected, as well as to the companies that have provided their help.

A specific mention must be made to the essential and very important work that the media have developed.

His work has been impeccable and irreplaceable in this unprecedented crisis.

Thank you infinitely to your professionals who, without rest, have kept us informed of how much was happening and they have transmitted to us the notices that had to be made public for the population.

We must also thank the work of the regional government, the Segura Hydrographic Confederation, the Government Delegation, the AEMET in Murcia, the staff of the different Administrations and finally, all those who, without rest, have put their effort at the service of the victims.

And of course, thanks to the mayors and mayors, who from the first minute have accompanied and helped the neighbors giving them their encouragement and affection.

They and they have been there at all times, sparing no time or energy, pending how much was happening and directing the available troops.

The men and women of the Region of Murcia have shown these days the best of themselves and although it will be some time before we can recover normalcy in the life of our Region, we will surely recover it with effort and strength.

Time must analyze the mistakes made and establish, where appropriate, the corresponding responsibilities.

Now is the time to recover normalcy and demand speed in the investments to be made to mitigate the damage that has occurred.

The Governing Board agrees:

• Support the request that the Region of Murcia be declared by the Council of Ministers, as soon as possible, “an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency”, in accordance with Law 17/2015, of July 9, for which we urge the Government of the Region of Murcia to quickly assess the damage caused by this "cold drop" that has severely affected our Region and claims how many aid and investments are necessary for repair and prevention works They must rush urgently.
