The projects chosen by the citizens were approved unanimously in the Ordinary Plenary session last October 29 |
In the Ordinary Plenary session of last October 29, the three political groups of the municipality unanimously approved the results of the Participatory Budgets 2019. Once this procedure has been carried out, as provided for in the Participatory Budget Regulation in Article 21, they may Tender for the projects chosen by popular vote by the citizens of Alguazas, which are the following:
1. Improvement actions in schoolyards: concrete covering in a circular form of the metal pillars of the roof of the tracks.
2. Replacement of the access door to the City Council with an automatic door to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
3. Installation of surveillance cameras in public buildings.
«The residents of Alguazas, for the third consecutive year, have had the power to choose the projects they consider most necessary for their municipality.
Thanks to the Participatory Budgeting process that has been promoted by the Department of Transparency and Good Governance, this year we will be able to carry out three projects of a very different nature.
We will continue working to improve this citizen participation tool, which allows the citizen to decide on what to invest a part of the municipal budget, âexplains Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, Mayor of Alguazas.
