The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will officially request the State to change the location of the link between the Alguazas highway (RM-531) with the A-7 and A-30 highways, which is part of the Northwest Arc.
This supports the proposal of local entrepreneurs to locate the junction on the RM-531 road because the one currently projected by the Ministry "leads nowhere."
Counselor José Ramón Díez de Revenga held a meeting today with the members of the neighborhood platform led by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Merchants of Segura (Asecom), to whom he transferred his support to the change of that link because "it makes no sense and would imply the isolation of the municipality of Alguazas ".
"We join the claim of businessmen and neighbors, also unanimously shared by the Plenary of the City of Alguazas," said the counselor, who said that "the proposal, in addition to being common sense, is a more economical solution" .
The request for the change of the link to the South will be made in the same terms as the platform.
Specifically, it will request that it be transferred from kilometer 9.5 to 11, so that the RM-531 road has continuity at the intersection with the Northwest Arc.
He recalled that last year his department moved to the State Highway Demarcation his disagreement with the Northwest Arc layout project, "because he does not propose any solution that guarantees the continuity of the RM-531, and the projected link does not appear properly connected with the regional road that runs between Alguazas and Campos del Río ".
He also informed the platform that, in the near future, the Community will award the improvement of the second section of the RM-531 road, once in December it obtained from the City of Campos del Río the necessary land to execute the work, and thus optimize access To this population.
