A motion by UxA at the next plenary session will claim a new bridge for El Paraje (17/02/2020)

UxA has filed a motion to ask for the installation of a new bridge to be tendered.

Priority is also required to repair the motes of rivers and roads still shattered.

Five months have passed since the September DANA flooded the village of the Place;

At the same time that the neighbors live an authentic ordeal by having the bridge that joins them with Molina de Segura totally closed to traffic and "leaving them isolated."

The neighbors already demonstrated last December to demand the installation of a new bridge in the face of the precarious situation of the current one, and this was initially announced.

But it is striking that they now say that they will limit themselves to repairing the current one so that it lasts another fifty years.

From UxA it is denounced that "this decision should have agreed before with the neighbors and affected, but it has been made of backs and without consulting anyone".

"And while they continue fighting to see who pays less, the months go by and nothing is going on; and today, not even the specifications have been written to begin the bidding process" criticizes José Gabriel García Bernabé.

In the motion that will be debated in the next plenary session, the local unit Unit X Alguazas requests the construction of a new bridge as initially promised, as well as taking legal action against the CHS for damages caused as a result of the reeds piled up in the river .

"We demand top priority for this work. They have abandoned and isolated our neighbors," says the UxA spokesman.

He also adds that "full proposals were approved to subsidize the IBI, the ICIO and help those affected, and have not executed or fulfilled anything."
