The 9th edition of the Popular Race of Alguazas already has a date: Sunday, May 31, 2020. As in previous years, the event is framed within the popular race circuit “Running Challenge” of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia ( FAMU).
The race will start at 9:30 am at the City Hall gate, with an urban route of 10 kilometers, distributed in a circuit of two laps.
Like last year, it has also opened the possibility of enrolling in the 5-kilometer mode, so the runner would only have to go around the circuit.
As a novelty, this edition has introduced the 5 kilometer mode for walkers.
«We attend to the requests and suggestions of the participants, and therefore this year we introduce this new modality to expand the range of options when competing in our career.
One more year, our Popular Race will once again be the most important sporting event in our municipality, as it attracts the attention of numerous athletes from the Region of Murcia, ”explains Juan Antonio Lpez Ribera, Councilor for Sports of the City of Alguazas.
In this edition, as usual, the traditional test for minors will also be played, which will begin immediately after the absolute race.
Registration will open shortly on the website of the Murcia Athletics Federation.
