Alguazas City Council also collaborates in the development of protective equipment against COVID-19 (coronavirus) (24/03/2020)

The consistory will acquire two 3D printers with which to develop protective equipment against COVID-19 (coronavirus) |

The Alguazas City Council wants to do its bit and collaborate in the development of protective equipment against COVID-19 (coronavirus) for health personnel and other groups.

The consistory has acquired two 3D printers with which to develop such protective equipment and thus collaborate, to the extent of its possibilities, in the fight against the virus.

“We have acquired two 3D printers to develop protective equipment against the coronavirus.

The printing work is being carried out in a company specialized in this type of technology, to whom the devices have been temporarily transferred, "explains Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, Mayor of Alguazas.

The purchase of these two 3D printers has involved an investment of € 936.54.

"Once this crisis has passed, the City Council will transfer a printer to each of the public schools in our town, to serve as a work tool in their teaching and educational projects," says the Councilor for Education of the City Council from Alguazas, Victoria Cuello Medina.

"It is a small investment for this emergency health situation, but it will also have an impact, in the medium and long term, on the education of our sons and daughters," concludes the Mayor.
