| The municipal Committee will be coordinated by the Mayor herself, Silvia Ruíz Serna, and the mayor of Public Health, María José Tornero García | A Municipal Health Committee is established to report on the COVID-19 and take preventive measures in the municipality.The Municipal Committee will be coordinated by the Mayor herself, Silvia Ruíz Serna, and the mayor of Public Health, María José Tornero García.Today, Friday, the Municipal Health Committee of the Alguazas City Council has been constituted to coordinate the measures and policies to be adopted on the occasion of the COVID-19 health crisis.

The committee will be coordinated by the Mayor, Silvia Ruíz Serna, and the councilor for Public Health, María José Tornero García.Also participating in this Committee are the coordinator of the Alguazas Health Center, Manuel Asís, the Sergeant-Chief of the Local Police, Francisco Pellicer, the president of the local Civil Protection group, Alfonso Sánchez, the Councilor for Services, Jesús Gomariz, the head of Works and Services, Juan Tello and the psychologist of the City Council, Maribel Gómez.This body will meet periodically to analyze the progress of the pandemic and evaluate the measures to be adopted.

At this first meeting, two positive cases have been reported at present and several people in home isolation by close contact, under daily medical surveillance.The Mayor requests the neighborly collaboration to avoid new infections in the municipality and surroundings.

The use of a mask and social distancing is very important to avoid infections.The mayor of Public Health highlights that in this first meeting some measures have been specified such as the daily disinfection of parks and establishments and public buildings, coordination of social services with the Local Police and the Health Center to monitor special cases in isolation, security measures in the outdoor markets and control by the Local Police for compliance with the regulations.
