| This protest will take place next Saturday, November 28 (11:30 am) in the municipality of Alguaceño | The Segura Businessmen and Merchants Association (ASECOM) continues with its measures to demand the change of location of the exit to Alguazas of the future Northwest Arch, a project that should connect the A-30 with the A-7.
Therefore, next Saturday November 28 (11:30 am) has called a demonstration by car through the municipality, which will depart from the El Cortijo Industrial Park.
"The current project will condemn Alguazas to isolation, we cannot allow it because its economic, industrial and demographic future will be condemned", emphasizes the president of ASECOM, Eloy Jiménez. This demonstration, in addition to the one held in January and the recent placement of various protest billboards, will be held in vehicles for safety reasons.
"We want to give greater visibility to this great problem that can disconnect Alguazas, but our responsibility in the face of the pandemic is to do so with all the guarantees of sanitary security," says Jiménez. Serious damage ASECOM and the municipality's businessmen have been demanding in different political areas for months the change of route of this exit, which was originally planned next to the RM-531, the Campos del Río highway at the height of Puente Cemento.
"But the project changed and that exit was moved a kilometer and a half further north, causing the highway to end next to a field, without a road that connects with the RM-531," explains Jiménez. "A project that is clearly lacking in practicality and that will be a serious detriment to the alguaceños," says the president of ASECOM, who recalls that this request is also supported by the Ministry of Development and the local City Council.
