| The Alguazas City Council has paid aid to businesses that closed due to COVID-19 to a total of 58 beneficiaries including businesses, hoteliers and street vendors | The Department of Commerce has resolved the payment of COVID-19 aid to businesses and companies in Alguazas that saw their activity paralyzed during the state of alarm, of which 58 companies including businesses, hoteliers and street vendors have been beneficiaries.

The City Council has already made the payment of the aid to the beneficiaries. This morning, the Mayor, Silvia Ruiz, and the Councilor for Commerce, Jos Gabriel Garc a, visited some of the beneficiary establishments to present them with the commemorative check to help minimize the economic impact of COVID-19 at local businesses. These aids were approved within the Alguazas Economic Reactivation Plan, with a total amount of 40,000 euros that it was decided to allocate to these aids from the money of the municipal festivities.

Each establishment that closed in the state of alarm has opted for a non-refundable aid of € 550, while street vendors have received € 100 and hoteliers the amount of € 550 plus € 30 for each authorized table on the terrace. In addition, the Alguazas City Council has signed an agreement with the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs endowed with more than 16,000 euros for actions that boost local purchases, such as the campaign that is currently being developed.
