The City Council is undertaking various activities in Alguazas to celebrate the International Day Against Violence Against Women.
The Department of Equality Alguazas municipality has made available to interested groups III activities within the Campaign Against Gender Violence.
This shall open the event with the representation of the play "Women."
"Women" includes a recital of poems by authors such as, the Chilean Pablo Neruda and the Seville Manuel Machado, among others, dealing with violence, machismo and women.
The work is to stage the drama group "Matícate" the town of Bullas Murcia.
The play's premiere in 2009 and since then have shown repeatedly achieving great success among the attendees.
The representation will take place on November 20 at 20.00 pm in the Cinema Theatre IV Centenary of Alguazas, with free admission.
The group, formed by women and the parish Bullas Cup, comes after a call issued by the U.S. Equal Bullas in 2005 held to find actors and actresses willing to represent a play in commemoration of International Day Women in 2006.
This group was composed of 15 women under the name "Matícate."
It has also been prepared for alguaceños a talk titled "Susanna and the Elders" by Professor of History of Art, Cecilia Esteban Albert.
The event will take place on 23 November at 18.00 am in the House of Culture Alguazas.
Also the event is scheduled to go the Councillor for Equality Alguazas, Maria Auxiliadora Bermudez.

International Day

First we shall read the manifesto against gender violence which will be attended by the director general of the Gender Violence Prevention of the Autonomous Community, Teresa Moreno.
The event, to be held on 25 November at 12.00 in the Plaza Don Enrique Tierno Galván Alguazas is also expected to attend the municipal mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, accompanied by his government team.
Also students from local secondary schools will contribute to the act by some sort of activity such as reading and banners, among others.
After reading and intervention of students will begin the performance of the performance: "The story of how it happens."
