The works of the Northwest Greenway move these days to Alguazas (16/11/2010)

The Northwest Greenway that will connect the municipalities of Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz will be finished in spring.

The Greenway route takes the line that connected Caravaca de la Cruz and Murcia, which was operational until 1971.

The hostel Alguazas

In Alguazas will become a railway platform in Housing.

To carry out this action the Ministry of Culture and Tourism allocated a total of 523,000 euros through the Northwest Greenway Consortium, which is part of the municipality.

Thus it is expected that the shelter could open in April next year.

The building is on a single storey building on existing structures belonging to the old pier Alguazas station.

The project includes a lodge with 12 rooms, which will provide the municipality of between 36 and 48 places of accommodation, a café, toilets and laundry.

For its part, the cafeteria will have a terrace area which will serve to expand the call to put tables outside.

Will also bar, kitchen, space for tables and two toilets.

The cafeteria will communicate with the living room of the hostel.
