Five hundred students belonging to schools of Our Lady of Mount Caramel, Mount Anaor, PCPI Alguazas, IES Villa de Alguazas and Vega CES Media Alguazas Township participated today in celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with a poetry reading and display of placards.
The ceremony was held in the auditorium Alguazas City Council, was attended by the mayor of the municipality, José Antonio Fernández, and the Director General on the Prevention of Violence and Juvenile Reform, Teresa Moreno, who read the manifesto to condemn such violence.
Previously, Moreno, together with the Director General of Youth, Veronica Lopez, visited the young participants at the European Meeting 'The mask of the love', which this week are developing advocacy and awareness against gender violence YH Valley.
The meeting, set in the program "Youth in Action ', European Union, is based on the educational workshop' The Mask of Love ', developed by the ministries of Justice and Public Safety and Education, Training and Employment, secondary education institutes in the Region of Murcia.
