On Thursday March 18 inaugurated the "panoramic walkway" located on the railway bridge on Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio.

The work, which was awarded by the City of Alguazas in 2008, and should have been completed in December 2008, has been delayed for more than 15 months, the work being detained for almost all of 2009.

The work was not provided by any administration and without any provision or budget allocation, which meant that the work was stopped throughout 2009.

It was last July 23, 2009, following the signing of the Ministry of Development, through ADIF, an agreement with the Autonomous Region for the elimination of level crossings and the implementation of protection measures and urban integration, when viewed first carry out the work of the footbridge over the railway on Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio Alguazas, giving it an economic item for execution.

After signing the agreement were resumed construction works by the contractor.

The work was completed in February 2010, but the inauguration took place in March.

The Gateway has been funded in two-thirds by the Ministry of Works through the public company ADIF and represents an investment of 557,000 euros.

For many years this road has been traveled by many pedestrians, especially on Tuesday morning, when our neighbors in the Barrio del Carmen had to walk to the market place on the road, putting their lives at stake.

All this delay is due to incompetence and lack of concern for our people alguaceño People's Party.

THE BRIDGE ON THE RAILROAD, A DANGER

The state with the current railroad bridge, which links the Barrio del Carmen to the train station, next to the local police station, is a real danger to the neighbors to pass, especially at night.

One area, among many others, overlooked by the PP in which there is no lighting and fences and lampposts are totally demolished.

This area is traveled by many residents throughout the day and is one of the three bridges that connect to our town by the railroad tracks that divide us.
