Local historian Ulpiano Celiz illustrates the international scope of the Patron Saint alguaceño.

Son and grandson of merchants, Ulpiano Celiz born 58 years ago in Alguazas.
He studied Philosophy and Classical Philology at the University of Murcia.
In his youth would join the Army where he attained the rank of sergeant of Infantry.
A professional level Ulpiano Celiz develops commercial activity as an entrepreneur.
Celiz founded the magazine "Cuadernos de Estudios Alguaceños" in the first issue published an article entitled "Sponsorship Alguazas and San Onofre."
