Unit spokesman for Alguazas, Jose Gabriel Garcia Bernabe believes that neighbors should know what the real state of the municipal coffers after so many financial irregularities experienced in recent years and should be annual audits.
The next regular plenary of the Hon.
Alguazas City Council of 29th September, the group United for Alguazas presented a motion which asked the consistory to an audit of municipal accounts to know the real state of our treasury.
In recent years, both PP and PSOE, alguaceña have destabilized the economy, suffering a disproportionate increase in public debt and leverage the city council.
These irregularities and massive increases are causing unease in public opinion, distrust of neighbors in economic management and criticism from the opposition.
By Unity for Alguazas, we believe that our duty as political opposition is the proper functioning and management of the Consistory, and therefore, their municipal accounts, so ensure good control of municipal funds and transparency.
The spokesperson for Alguazas Unit, Jose Gabriel Garcia Bernabe said that this audit will serve to dispel doubts about the real situation of the municipal coffers, adding that in a normal company audits are performed annually, and this should be done in a municipality almost 10,000, with more than 7 million annual budget and a debt of more than 4 million euros in the last four years.
The motion presented by the group United for Alguazas urged the council to conduct an audit of municipal accounts in the last 15 years.
This audit has been one of the priorities of the electoral program of UXA, due to the local economic situation and lack of transparency.
Thus, by Alguazas Unit sought the support from the other two parties so that transparency is an example of the policy pursued in our municipality.
