The mayor Bernabe Garcia attends the events held at the Church of St. James Lorquí homage to the Virgen del Pilar and Columbus Day.

On Friday October 12, the Church of St. James hosted the commemoration Lorquí the Virgen del Pilar and the Civil Guard, which was attended by the President and Councillor for Alguazas Unit, José Gabriel García Barnabas.
This day is the National Day of Spain, Columbus Day, which commemorates the day Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.
From there it has been celebrated as a memorable day where they began contacts between Europe and America.
Also marks the day of Pilar, as the name day of the day and is also patron of the Guardia Civil.
The ceremony was attended by officials from various municipalities of the Vega Media.

In the events organized in the village of Lorquí, there was a Mass in honor of the patron of the Guardia Civil.
