Alguazas neighbors already have a Family Mediation Service for resolution of conflicts, an initiative promoted by the Department of Social Services of the local council, created with the aim of helping to resolve conflicts through agreements of all kinds, especially processes of separation and / or divorce, intergenerational conflicts (parents / adolescents, dependent carers / family), inheritance, etc., using the tool of mediation as a method for reaching agreement in full and free will of the parties in dispute without limits or conditions nor without imposition of any kind, only through collaboration and participatory negotiation.
The implementation process of this mediation program, based on the parameters of confidentiality, impartiality and neutrality and open also to address future disputes arising, borne by "Solvers" Murcia entity that has developed an intensive outreach and awareness in the field of mediation and other implementing and managing conflict mediation services in the region, for example, in schools and local police forces in several municipalities.
In this initial phase of the Family Mediation Service Conflict Alguazas-which is located in the premises of the Department sponsoring the Social Services-, competent staff, composed of professionals of Psychology, Education and Law also develop outreach and awareness activities to publicize this service through lectures, workshops and seminars.
According to the Councillor for Social Services alguaceño Consistory, María Dolores Hernández García, "with this new project aims to enhance the participation of the people involved in the resolution of their conflicts, offering it as an alternative to the traditional method of conflict resolution as is the judicial system, and reducing ultimately economic and emotional costs and duration in time arising from contentious resolution of the conflict ".
