Access is from the highway that connects the town of Murcia with Molina de Segura, from where a local road, winding fields and ditches of the garden (the so-called "Path of Beltranes"), leads, after about four kilometers, to the very foot of the tower, which can be visited in days from Sunday (except the third of each month), from 11:00 to 13:30 and 15:30 to 18:00.

Much has been written about this important fortress, undoubtedly linked to the control of a fertile and productive land.

Today they have to establish the origins of the tower to the fourteenth century, in the context of the Bishopric of dominion exercised over Alguazas Cartagena.

Thus, we see a Gothic fortification of considerable dimensions, inscribed in a square plan with solid walls and raised by a powerful mud mortar.
