Exhibition Photographic Memory of Agricultural and Conservera Alguazas " (10/06/2009)

Joaquín Hernández Yelo began in 2007 to collect old photographs of Alguazas collecting moments of recent history, calling them "photographic memory."

Each photograph is exposed a snapshot of a moment in the life of a person, which has for itself a sentimental value that transports you to your past.

The author is extremely grateful to all those people who so selflessly shared with him the memories graphics.

The Exhibition "Photographic Memory of Agricultural and Conservera Alguazas" shows a whole day, almost the entire twentieth century of intense activity in the field, in the garden, in warehouses and canneries, for the high fruit and vegetable production in Alguazas known in Europe for its quality.

The exhibition consists of over three hundred fifty photographs grouped into several areas:

The first represents the rainfed sector, with large groups of field workers and the work proper, tilling, planting and then harvesting the olives and cereals with tasks such as harvesting and threshing on the threshing floor.

The next sector is the use of water from two rivers with canals and armbands, using artifacts such as dinners, wheels and motors that raise the water to irrigate the higher areas.

Another sector is preparing for almajar or plant seedlings of peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, onion and other vegetables, which are then transplanted into the gardens.

In the vegetable sector images appear on all activities of the garden by planting all kinds of vegetables, legumes, etc ....

Also work, as the desperfollo of the panicle or pussy, espicazar beans, peppers and other open.

The harvesting sector of the fruit, especially apricots and peaches.

The sector of the fresh fruit which represents the work of preparation and packaging for marketing in domestic and foreign places.

The sequeros, drying of apricot cuts for better conservation.

Finally, the conservation, work in factories to put cans of fruit cuts.
