The Full Council of Alguazas adopted an ordinance to regulate outdoor advertising in the municipality.

It has done so with the votes for the popular group and votes against the socialist group.

Specifically, the ordinance regulates the written and audio advertising in the municipality.

Once it enters into force this Ordinance, those who want to deliver advertising in the municipality will have to apply for permission at least five days in advance.

Such authorization will reflect the dates on which to carry out the distribution areas of the municipality in which to deliver advertising and the number of folders to be edited.

Alguazas Mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, said during the plenary session held on 9 November that the City Council this ordinance is not intended to restrict freedom of expression and self regulate an activity that is becoming annoying to the neighbors, who see as streets, sidewalks and their own mailboxes, appear every day full of pamphlets and papers.

This ordinance is intended, therefore, that those responsible for the advertising is forced to manage a good deal of it, something that benefits both residents and the environment.

The regulations, those who do not properly manage the distribution of your advertising will be sanctioned with fines ranging between 100 and 750 euros.
