Alguazas is closer to reach 10,000 people, today and according to data from the municipal census, the population of the town amounts to nearly 9,100 inhabitants.
During the past 2009, according to the Statistical Service of the City of Alguazas there were 785 high and 665 low, leaving a differential of 120 people, which has increased the population of the previous year.
According to the National Statistics Institute in 2009, the population was 8,978 inhabitants, of whom 4685 (52.18%) were males and 4293 (47.82%) are women, of whom most 7,503, which represents more than eighty percent, namely 83.57% are of Spanish nationality.
A January 1, 2009, the INE has Alguazas that had registered a total of 1,475 foreigners, which is a 16, 43%, of which just over 50% are of African origin, followed by Latin Americans represent over 34% of the population.
